Ten Tors training started in earnest at the weekend, on Exmoor...
On Sunday 9th October, King’s Bruton Ten Tors 2023 training started in earnest. The aspiring team members went to Exmoor to check their clothing, equipment and practice their navigation skills. More importantly, they started to work together as a teams. They were able to practice identifying features and relating their maps to the ground, on a lovely circular walk around Dunkery Beacon. They were also lucky enough to see herds of deer roaming across the moor led by a huge stag. Overall, it was an excellent training event, introducing and preparing the teams for both the mental and physical challenges.
