An impressive 24 hour CCF Field Day to Yoxter Ranges...
King’s Bruton Advanced Infantry departed for Yoxter Camp for their annual military exercise last week. “Exercise Shortage” saw the Advanced Infantry Cadets and NCOs take part in patrolling, a night ambush, camping and cooking in the field and a very early morning section attack against two enemy positions.
Following some excellent military skills, under the direction of Staff Officers and NCOs, the cadets then moved onto the 100m range where they shot live rounds in the prone and kneeling position to try and achieve their shooting qualifications in Marksman, First Class or Pass. Overall, the shooting was of an excellent standard with all cadets passing, and eight achieving the top standard of Marksman.
A very impressive 24 hour Field Day.
