A thrilling afternoon of sailing for the CCF RN cadets at Cheddar Reservoir...
Friday was the CCF Royal Navy Cadets last session of sailing at Cheddar Reservoir. The weather did not disappoint with a variety of blue skies and sunshine followed by dark clouds and rain. Some very exciting manoeuvres were observed as a squall came through and the speed over the water increased. Lots of smiles and laughter were evident, even when one team t-boned the pontoon! No damage to persons or boat thankfully, just some pride. The wind gust became such that the dinghy’s had to come ashore, but this did not stop the fun of being around water with a quick competition of who could do the best entry into the water off the pontoon.
A big thank you to Beth and her staff at Cheddar Watersports Club, we look forward to returning next year.
