It has been excellent that our Year 11 pupils at King's Bruton have achieved such impressive GCSE grades, to support our best-ever A Level and BTec grades last week.
47.7% of GCSE grades were awarded grades 9-7 (A*/A), which is the highest percentage of top grades ever awarded at King's, apart from the CAG year of 2020, while 93.1% of GCSE grades were awarded grades 9-4 (A*-C), which is also the highest ever at King's, outside the CAGs and TAGs of the past two years. We have again, gone against the national trend of the expected fall in top grades from those awarded in 2021, as our grades have gone up and are above those seen before the pandemic. Ten pupils deserve special mention for their excellent grades:
Isabel 9999999988
Harry 9999999888
Greta 99999988
Georgia 9999888887
Skyla 9999998887
Jenna 9999888887
Eleanor 9999888888
Anouska 999999877
Lucas 9999998776
Max 9988887776
My thanks go to the Heads of Department and all subject teachers for all their hard work and professionalism over the past three years, which ensured that all King's Bruton pupils received an outstanding education, regardless of the impact of the pandemic, and prepared them so well for their external exams. The girls and boys deserve great credit for the resilience they have shown to achieve such impressive grades across the board.
Floreat Brutonia!
