A new academic year, and a new logo for New House...
For several years now, I have thought that the New House logo needed refreshing. Over the years, the resolution and quality of the original logo had diminished and it had become difficult to identify the House symbol of the rhino within it. The new design is sleek and elegant. It encompasses the rhino in a more impactful way, whilst linking to the history of New House with the inclusion of the date of the founding of the House. September 2021 seemed like a fitting year to introduce a new logo, coinciding with the recent reconfiguration of the House.
Ashley Marshfield - Housemaster, New House
This academic year we’ve grown rather significantly as a House, and I felt it was time for our visual identity to catch up to where we are today. It was imperative that the core symbol of New House - the rhino, was somehow incorporated into the design. The previous logo had a complicated and uninteresting rhino, so I found the need to simplify it substantially. Likewise, the archaic monogram was retired in favour of a modern serif font - perfect to reflect and cement our updated House identity! Our new logo reflects New House’s refurbishment, while maintaining our ethos and individuality.
