5th & 6th Form pupils gained new ideas and inspiration at the International Universities Fair...
3 globally-renowned Canadian universities. 2 outstanding USA universities, including one from Los Angeles and the other the US premier life skills institution. 2 of the world’s top-5 Swiss, Spanish and Singaporean hospitality and luxury business schools, an innovative, sector-disrupting university from Madrid. One of the best business and politics universities in the world from Italy. And a raft of leading European and further afield business schools. These are not normally to be found represented in Bruton, but the International Universities Fair at King’s on Tuesday lunchtime afforded the opportunity to meet such leading institutions from across the globe.
5th and 6th Form pupils gained new ideas and inspiration, with their eyes opened to what the globally-connected world of education could offer them, beyond the confines of the UK. It was great to see pupils exploring and asking pertinent questions of the visiting admissions officers and university alumni, aware that such decisions are not to be taken lightly, but that the time spent talking to these institutions is part of their investment in their futures. It was time well spent for so many who attended.
The guests were full of praise for King’s pupils, whether they’d travelled from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Bocconi in Milan, or Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, they were delighted by the questions asked, which got to the real substance of what the universities had to offer. Next step, further exploration and individual guidance and support, potentially leading to some exciting applications and university destinations!
