Pupils have enjoyed some fun trips with a mathematical theme...

Trip to Martock Snooker Centre

On Saturday 18th April, a group of Further Maths pupils went to Martock Snooker Centre to play pool. Great fun was had by all, with the triumph of Johnny, who was awarded a prize for his excellent analysis of impacts and collisions.

Maths Feast Bristol - The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme

On 17th April, four 4th Form boys set out for an event with pupils from 15 other schools. The King's team, which consisted of Sam, Will, Fraser and Jared, worked on puzzles from simple algebra to finding the perimeter of a dodecagon. Pupils found the trip "fun and engaging", and enjoyed the puzzles presented. Of course, a cheeky trip to Maccy D's was also a must do!

Maths Inspiration Show - Bristol

On Tuesday 14th March, pupils enjoyed a trip to the Bristol Maths Inspiration Show.
‘It was fascinating to see how useful maths is in the world and how many jobs value a maths degree. My mind was broadened to a new side of applied maths.’

Thomas Owens - Head of Mathematics
