King's Bruton pupils gave a concert at The Glen Care Home, Evercreech...

It was a great privilege to be able to take a group of musicians to perform at the Glen Care Home in Evercreech last Friday afternoon. The residents were delighted to welcome King's back for a second performance this academic year. The programme was hugely varied with a range of genres represented from Music Theatre and Popular Music to Baroque Music and Romantic German Lieder. In addition to singing, instruments included: flute, guitar, trombone, saxophone, piano, cello and violin. The Piano Trio opened and closed the programme playing two contrasting pieces with a Humoresque by Dvořák and Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms. The residents were very appreciative and grateful to the musicians giving up their time to perform and asked that we visit once again soon! Well done to all those involved.
