The Old Brutonians vs King’s golf match...
On Tuesday 27th June, six U6th boys teed off against six Old Brutonians in the King’s vs OBs golf match, kindly hosted by Mendip Golf Club. The course proved a real challenge with undulating fairways, blind approaches and very fast greens. Our pupils were up to the challenge and many of the matches were hard fought; two pairings were beaten 5&4 and 3&2, with the final group narrowly missing out on victory on the final two holes and ending up all square. This meant that, ultimately, King’s came up short this time with the Old Brutonians emerging victorious. I would like to thank all of those at the Old Brutonian Golf Society who helped to organise and participated in the event, and also the staff at Mendip Golf Club for their hospitality.
