This term’s Christmas Musical, The Wizard of Oz was performed to packed out audiences in the Fitzjames Theatre.
The depth of talent on stage on both Thursday and Friday night was truly remarkable: actors, singers, musicians and dancers gave two heart-warming performances of this classic tale. The four principals were compelling and thoroughly entertaining throughout, ably supported by the ensemble cast who filled the roles of munchkins, jitterbugs and other supporting roles. Staging a show such as this relies on effective team work: the cast, band, crew, front of house team, and staff all poured in hours of time to make it such a success. This year’s team were not only talented, but a joy to work with; they deserve a good deal of praise and a hard-earned rest. A video of the performance can be watched below.
