Erwin James held the 6th Form spellbound for an hour this week during his talk on his experiences of the UK prison system.

Erwin served twenty years of a life sentence and survived and then thrived through sheer determination to educate himself. He urged his audience to view prisoners as assets rather than liabilities so that the current 70% reoffending rate within a year could be reduced. Edwin's message of salvation from the pit of despair was relevant, challenging, powerful and ultimately up lifting.
