Welcome to Lyon House, one of the seven boarding houses at King's. We have the unique position of being located alongside the major playing fields of the School and therefore we proudly boast of having the largest back garden!
The House accommodates around 60 boarders and day boys. The boys in the lower years share rooms in 2s, 3s and 4s and as they enter the 6th Form, nearly all the boys have their own single room. With the playing fields on the doorstep, there are many sportsmen in Lyon House and there is a strong representation in school teams and in Inter-House sporting events. This said, we pride ourselves in everything we do, from debating, to house singing.
We are a strong community who pull together, no matter what the challenge.
There is a great sense of belonging and ownership in Lyon House: it is special place because of the young men who live in it. They look after each other, and encourage each other to do their best in work, sport and as people. We have outstanding individuals who inspire others, display modesty, and value everyone as much for their effort and personality, as for their individual attainment. Do come and meet us, we would love to show you round! Or for a brief insight, take a look at our Twitter feed below.

Unfortunately, we have had to suspend our use of online forms to reflect King's ICT policy. We hope to reintroduce this method again via the King's Parent Portal which will launch soon. In the meantime, all weekend leave and day pupil boarding requests should be forwarded to email@example.com
