ICT is integral to our everyday lives and King’s seeks to broaden the educational experience by preparing pupils for this fast changing digital world.
With the technology landscape changing so quickly, we believe at King’s that our systems and services should be device agnostic rather than prescribing what technology pupils must have. Indeed, pupils are encouraged to select the devices that work best for them regardless of operating system or brand. Pupils can bring these devices into lessons, allowing staff to blend modern educational technology with excellent conventional teaching methodologies. Furthermore, the ICT Department is well staffed, providing a first class service to help all pupils and staff whatever their problem.
To deliver a high quality ICT experience for all members of the school community, King’s have over the past couple of years, made significant investment in improving the speed and resilience of our network. The whole school campus, including all boarding houses, are Wi-Fi enabled to ensure that pupils and staff can access the digital resources they require. King’s is also well resourced with clusters of computers throughout the school including suites in every boarding house, the Design Centre, Science Department and the Library and specialist rooms in the Art, Design Technology and Music Departments.
